This policy explains how Controlled Entry Specialists, Inc (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website or services. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

Almost everything we hold is information you chose to give us — what you type into the estimate or contact form, or send us by phone, email or fax. That is typically:

Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
What you are asking about — the service you are interested in and any details you add about your property.
Your communication preferences, including whether you have agreed to receive text messages from us.
Basic technical information that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type. See “Server logs” below.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and provide an estimate.
To carry out and support any work you ask us to do.
To communicate with you about that work — appointment times, service visits and follow-ups — and, if you have separately agreed to it, to send you promotional messages.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

How the forms work: the estimate and contact forms on this site are provided by LeadConnector (HighLevel), our customer-enquiry provider. The form itself is loaded from their servers and displayed inside this page, so when you fill it in and press send, your details go to LeadConnector and are delivered to us there. We use them only to respond to your enquiry and to carry out any work you go on to request. Because the form is theirs, their privacy notice applies to the handling of the submission alongside this one — and they may set cookies inside the form itself in order to run it and to prevent spam.

If you would rather not use the form at all, call (619) 670-8100 or email info@ces-ca.com and nothing passes through a third party.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except where we need to in order to do the work you have asked for, or where the law requires it.

SMS and email communications

If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted by text, you consent to receive automated and non-automated messages from Controlled Entry Specialists, Inc at that number.

Agreeing to receive marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us, and you can ask for an estimate without opting in.

We do not sell or share your personal data — including your phone number and your consent to be texted — with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that handle it are the providers that operate our messaging and enquiry tools on our behalf, described under “Third-party content” below.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses Google Analytics. It sets first-party cookies in your browser so that Google Analytics can measure how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which device is used. We use it to understand and improve the site, not to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with what you send us through the form. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy notice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site will work normally.

Third-party content

The following are loaded from other companies' servers when you view our pages. Each one can see that your browser requested it, including your IP address, and each is covered by its own provider's privacy notice as well as this one:

The estimate and contact forms, provided by LeadConnector (HighLevel). These appear on the home page, the service pages, the service-area page, the estimate page and the contact page.
The customer review panel on our reviews page, also provided by LeadConnector. It displays reviews customers have left us.
Google Analytics, on every page, as described under “Cookies and tracking” above. It reports page views to Google on our behalf so we can see how the site is used.

LeadConnector also operates the system we use to hold enquiries and to send texts and emails, so it processes your contact details on our behalf as our service provider. It is not permitted to use them for its own marketing.

Nothing else on the site is loaded from anyone else. In particular, the video is hosted on this website itself rather than embedded from a video platform, so watching it does not report anything to anyone, and there is no map embedded on the contact page — the directions link takes you to Google Maps only if you choose to click it.

Some links take you off this site — for example to our Facebook page, our Yelp listing, or Google Maps for directions. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's website, and their privacy policy applies rather than ours.

Server logs

This site is served by a hosting provider that, like all web hosts, keeps standard technical logs of requests — such as IP address, the page requested and the time. These are ordinary infrastructure logs used for security and reliability. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything you send us.

Data security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data. This site is served over an encrypted connection, and enquiries are held in our access-controlled enquiry system rather than on this website. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep things

Enquiries and job records are kept for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our business and legal obligations — for example warranty and service history on equipment we installed. If you would like us to delete your enquiry, ask and we will.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (619) 670-8100 or email info@ces-ca.com and we will handle it. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; contact us using the same details to exercise them.

Children

This site is aimed at property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example if we add analytics, or change how the forms work. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.”
